I'm certain several of you may have heard a strange call the other day from an unknown sender leaving a vague warning about catching a cold. It's in many ways suspicious and dubious, but given the nature of Somarium, the sudden change of weather, and the fact that it's the month of the new moon, it's best to not take any chances. Plus it never hurts to try and stay healthy during the winter seasons even on "normal" standards. [using the term loosely because what's considered normal anymore?]

The other point of this message is if anyone managed to procure any additional information our mystery caller. Other than more vague riddles and generic hints, I only received yet another name of a person I have no idea about. Which leads into the third point: has anyone tried to contact either Ryan or Aisling? It's been a while since we've heard from either of them. Or perhaps if they're listening right now they could step forward and answer a few questions for all of us.

[FILTER: ANYONE IN THE POLICE FORCE]

There's actually another purpose for this message that is of particular importance for those involved with the Police Force. In case anyone missed Kay's accidental broadcast earlier, Chief Prosector Miles Edgeworth has fallen into a sleep coma. Prosecutor Franziska von Karma and Chief Inspector Javert have also been missing for some time, and after some investigation I believe they are incapacitated as well. I have also been unable to contact Commander Snake.

Hopefully there will be no incidents that will warrant our involvement, but I thought it best to bring this to everyone's attention.

I haven't heard from either of them in a while. What did you hear?

I have yet to receive a response from them so who knows what that could mean. But as for my conversation with our mysterious "friend"—[it's rather clear he's being a bit sarcastic with the term.]—he mentioned someone named Tim and that we should hear the story from the "other side," by which I mean Nitiri.

Nitiri's side? Which moves beyond trying to vindictively kill everyone? I'm not necessarily sure I want to hear that side of the story. Are you sure she's not trying to confuse us into empathy?

That was what I was thinking. On the other hand, it would be good to better understand what I assume for now is a major threat against us. We really don't know anything about Nitiri or the noctaere other than that they are affiliated with nightmare energy and the ones bringing chaos every other month.

I suppose it would be nice to know why she's doing it; if we were aware of that, we could possibly figure out what we could do to stop it.

Yes It would be even better if we knew where she was so that if it were possible, we could at least face her directly rather than sit idly by and wait for her to make the attack.

Do you think there's any chance of that?

[soulsymmetrical]

I honestly do not know. But she must have some kind of base. [all these evil people usually do.] It's just a matter of finding it. We're at a disadvantage since this isn't our native world and we have no idea how large it even is. She could be just a few miles away, on the other side, or even on a different planet and channeling through the dream gates. At this point anything could be possible.

But even if we don't find her location, we may uncover something in the process.

It's worth a shot. The closer we are to finding her, I think the closer we'll be to figuring out everything going on in the grander scheme of things. And like you said, we might find something else out.

We should try to get ahold of Ryan and Aisling.

It seems just calling them out like this isn't working, and they never left a number we could just call. I wonder where they are...they should be within the city, don't you think?

[buildingreality]

You would think. But we've never seen them in person - just over the Dreamberries themselves. Isn't it possible that, like Nitiri, they might not be in Somarium at all?

[soulsymmetrical]

We were able to meet Aisling during that dreamwalking training camp, but I haven't seen her since. Ryan, however, has only been visible through the Dreamberry.

It could be possible that they might have once been in Somarium, but no longer are.

[and thinks.]

They were also involved with the dreamscape Sylvani made, too, I believe. But again, that doesn't mean they were here. They still could have been operating elsewhere.

[buildingreality]

[she nods; she was asleep for that.]

So the only way we've met any of them - anyone who knows what's going on - is either through the Dreamberry or through the dreamscapes, is that right? Isn't it possible that they're directly connected to it, and are indeed operating elsewhere, possibly for their own safety? And then, how can they expect us to go through everything like this, virtually alone?

It's possible, and I have no good answer for that. If I were to justify their actions, perhaps they have their own circumstances preventing it. [he's actually quite familiar with that sort of situation.] But we can't say for certain unless we have some proof, which will be difficult to obtain unless they appear for all of us to see.

Something to look into, if nothing else. Like how they can't give us anything more than what they were initially meant to tell us, and even then, it seems as though the information is limited. Something has to be operating higher up than them, keeping them on tight leashes.

[soulsymmetrical]

I wouldn't be surprised. In fact I also wouldn't be surprised if we weren't really trusted.

Considering the variety of people here, they most likely don't want us to know too much to protect themselves. I get the impression that dream energy can be quite powerful if in the right—or wrong—hands.

[buildingreality]

Neither would I. Especially those of us who want to learn something about this place; I can't imagine being in their place and wanting to give up any of my secrets either. But that doesn't make it any less frustrating.

You would think they'd be willing to take the time to get to know some of us - those really interested. Just so they could gauge things for themselves.

One would think so.

I guess we should just keep trying to make contact. If they won't come to us, then we'll have to try and go to them.

You're right. And working on our own when we can't find them.
