I'm certain several of you may have heard a strange call the other day from an unknown sender leaving a vague warning about catching a cold. It's in many ways suspicious and dubious, but given the nature of Somarium, the sudden change of weather, and the fact that it's the month of the new moon, it's best to not take any chances. Plus it never hurts to try and stay healthy during the winter seasons even on "normal" standards. [using the term loosely because what's considered normal anymore?]

The other point of this message is if anyone managed to procure any additional information our mystery caller. Other than more vague riddles and generic hints, I only received yet another name of a person I have no idea about. Which leads into the third point: has anyone tried to contact either Ryan or Aisling? It's been a while since we've heard from either of them. Or perhaps if they're listening right now they could step forward and answer a few questions for all of us.

[FILTER: ANYONE IN THE POLICE FORCE]

There's actually another purpose for this message that is of particular importance for those involved with the Police Force. In case anyone missed Kay's accidental broadcast earlier, Chief Prosector Miles Edgeworth has fallen into a sleep coma. Prosecutor Franziska von Karma and Chief Inspector Javert have also been missing for some time, and after some investigation I believe they are incapacitated as well. I have also been unable to contact Commander Snake.

Hopefully there will be no incidents that will warrant our involvement, but I thought it best to bring this to everyone's attention.

Like it was meant to be kind of a joke or something calling us all up like that, and he hadn't been expecting everyone to make such a big deal out of it. It was a bit weird.

I see. [frowns a bit as he thinks.] It is a possibility that it was just some kind of prank call. Since I didn't really try to figure out his identity, our conversation went in a different direction. [thinks for a moment longer before shaking his head, sighing a bit.]

I don't know. It is suspicious and perhaps we are taking it a little more seriously than necessary.

Hey, he probably wouldn't have told you or anything even if you had. He didn't really seem keen on talking about himself. But it is kinda weird someone who lived here'd make that kinda joke, right? He must've known how people'd react.

This is also true. Joke or not, we can at least assume that he at least knew of something. Enough to twist it to his own agenda if that is the case.

Yeah... He talked a good game, but sure wasn't acting like he was on the level.

I suppose for now we can only wait and see.

If there are two opposing sides, then it's not that farfetched of an idea that we may have a place in it. But I agree that all the secrecy is a bit irritating, especially if we are involved in some way.

Yeah. I don't care how much you like puzzles, there's a bloody good reason we don't get newspapers in crossword form.

Hopefully we'll be able to solve this puzzle soon enough. At the rate things are going, something must reveal itself.

Unfortunately. We don't even know if he was here in Somarium or somewhere else, and without knowing much of the territory around us or even a clue where to start, it would be a waste of time to try to search for him. Though I'm of the opinion to not bother with the person and look toward the bigger picture.

I think so. From my conversation at least, he sounded like someone who knew that there was something else but for his own reasons would rather spin you around rather than tell it directly.

For instance, he kept suggesting that we learn the story from Nitiri's side since all that we've heard have been from Sylvani and the others who are associated with her. I believe he was just trying to cast doubt, but there is some merit in his words in other respects.

Now I may be reading too much into this, but the concept of identity and faces may also be some kind of hint, at least to how he may think. We've seen all of these people, but we still don't know anything about them.

Well, he did say he liked puzzles.

Two sides to every story, sure, but didn't Nitiri start a war or something? What's she possibly gotta say for herself that'll make that okay? She... well, some people are just plain rotten right? And...

Wow. All this time here and we really don't know much, do we?

No, we don't. Which is all the more reason why we should investigate the opposing side.

While it's true that some people start wars just because they can, it is also true that there are wars where if you looked from an outsider's perspective, you could see that both sides have a legitimate purpose. It becomes hard to discern who is right and who is wrong. I don't think that is the case here, but at the very least we could learn more about Nitiri's side and how to act against them.

What's so legitimate about nightmare wars?
